How To Make Confidence and Capitalism Work for You

By Bea Arthur

About The Author

Second of her name and first in her lane, Bea Arthur’s story is a trip: a licensed therapist and entrepreneur who carved her own path in the cutthroat startup world to become an award-winning, barrier breaking business woman. Straddling two worlds as a people-pleasing Black woman and a ball-busting white man, Bea shares the journey of how she went from a social worker to a startup star, being named an Entrepreneur To Bet On by Newsweek Magazine, called “innovative and inspiring” by the American Counseling Association, and one of 100 Most Inspiring New Yorkers by Bumble.

Bea is a TEDx speaker who has appeared on Shark Tank, NPR, MTV, Fox News, Inc, FastCompany, and was a featured talent for Forbes. As the first African-American female founder accepted by the prestigious Y Combinator accelerator, she is a pioneer in the e-therapy movement and her life’s work has been dedicated to making mental healthcare affordable and accessible. She is the founder and CEO of The Difference, an on-demand therapy service, and host of Bea The Change, a podcast talk show. Now she tells her story as a first time author: her memoir & manifesto reveals how she hacked the white man world to success.
